How much is physical activity recommended?[1, 4,5]
The precise dose of physical activity for a specific population subgroup, tailored for site-specific cancer reduction, is still under research. However, World Cancer Research Fund (WRCF) states that “more physical activity is better."
1. About 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity can bring effects.
2. Alternatively, 75 to 100 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity each week is also advised.
3. In this, a muscle-strengthening activity is also required twice a week.
4. Balance training, in addition to aerobic and muscle-strengthening exercises, boosts your metabolism.
One can split these activities into smaller intervals, as short as 10 minutes.
