Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana in Southern India, is the largest and most populous city. It is also the major urban center for all of south-central interior India. From 1956 to 2014, Hyderabad was the capital of Andhra Pradesh state, but, with the emergence of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh in 2014, it was renamed as the capital of both states.
Hyderabad and Secunderabad are “twin cities” near Hussain Sagar Lake but both cities have grown so much that now they have become one of the biggest metropolis. The city and district of Hyderabad are coextensive. Many of the commuter belts of Hyderabad were recently merged into the city, now called Greater Hyderabad.
A city rich in tradition, Hyderabad now competes with Chennai and Bangalore for India’s IT capital; Google and Microsoft have their headquarters here. It’s also one of the busiest cities in the country. Here, people mostly use their bikes for traveling. If you are also one of those who use a bike for commuting, then make sure you have bike insurance policy.
