Tata Indigo eCS Car Insurance

Benefits

Known as a crossover between a sedan and a hatchback, the Tata Indigo eCS was initially launched in 2008 as Indigo CS and was later renamed as Indigo eCS in 2010 (as part of its first design update).

The eCS version of Indigo is powered by a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and pumps a peak power output of 70 PS along with a peak torque of 140 Newton metre. Although the diesel variant is the star of the show, yet you can also consider its petrol (1193 cc) and CNG (1193 cc) variants, which generate 100Nm of torque and 65PS of power. Further, claiming a mileage of up to 25kmpl, this compact-sedan is considered to be the most fuel-efficient car offered by Tata Motors. Some of its other key specifications include a wheelbase of 2450 mm, fuel tank capacity of 42 litres, boot space of 380 litres, height of 1540mm, length of 3988mm, and width of 1620mm.

The interiors are updated with more space in the cabin, dual-tone theme, gun-metal finished centre console, new music system, and leather-wrapped steering wheel. However, the lack of support from the seats may disappoint you a bit. On the exterior, the car gets a new look with headlamp and grille combination. The rear and side profile aren’t much changed. But they do not look bad at all.

Amidst the rivals in the Indian automobile market, Tata Indigo eCS faces competition from the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire and Honda Amaze.
