The top variant of this car has a Borg Warner manual shift with low reduction gear. Also, the SUV is equipped with the Drive by wire technology that offers a quicker and better-controlled throttle response. The power steering is missing in this car, which is taken care of by the big steering wheel that rotates smoothly, without putting in much effort. All the more, the car features disc brakes in the front with 9” boosters and drum brakes at the rear wheels.

With incredible off-roading capability, low gearbox, and four-wheel-drive, the Mahindra Thar stands out among the pseudo SUVs available in the market. The Thar wins the race among its competitors that include the Maruti Gypsy and Force Gurkha. Lastly, the car is available in three variants – the DI 4x2, DI 4x4 and CRDe 4x4 with AC. All these variants can be donned in any of these five colours - Diamond White, Mist Silver, Fiery Black, Toreador Red and Rocky Beige.
