​The Renault Captur is the longest and the widest in its class. Renault claims it as the most stylish SUV in India. The five-seat premium SUV from Renault has been positioned above the Renault Duster.

The Renault Captur has a distinctive styling that shows off its rich lineage. It flaunts curvy-body lines and flared wheel arches unlike the traditional square lines.  The elevated hemline offers the roof a coupe-like effect.  The front features a smiley grille with Renault's diamond logo at the centre. The top-spec variant comes with segment-first Sparkle Full LED headlamp, C-shaped Sapphire LED DRLs, and LED tail lamps along with 17-inch diamond cut alloys.

The SUV is available in both diesel as well as petrol variants. The 1.5-litre H4K petrol engine generates  a max power of 108bhp and a peak torque of 142Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox whereas the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine produces a max power of 109bhp and a peak torque of 240Nm and is available only with a six-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the petrol version gets an optional automatic CVT gearbox for enhanced fuel economy.

Talking about the safety features, the Renault Captur is equipped with dual front airbags as standard along with additional features like ABS and EBD, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors, brake assist, and electronic stability control. For child seats, the SUV get the ISOFIX standard fitments for improved security.

Being a premium offering from Renault, the Captur flaunts a unique white and gold interior that gives it a sophisticated appearance. However, the AC vents are donned in chrome inlays that give just the right contract to the interiors. The inside of the SUV gets a leather upholstery, electrically adjustable driver seat, voice command and GPS navigation, and a 7-inch touchscreen display in the centre-console with smartphone integration via Bluetooth. It also gets electrically operated wing mirrors, an automatic climate control cruise control and steering mounted audio controls.
