Alto Variants
There are a number of variants of Alto in India. Broadly speaking, the Alto family is divided into two groups – K series and Alto 800. The latter one has been more popular as well as successful. The Alto 800, which is a reincarnation of the legendary Maruti 800 has three variants. They are LX, LXi, and Standard ( Std) respectively. Each one has a CNG variant taking the total to six.
The Standard variant is the most basic variant with only the bare minimum of features. It does not have air-conditioning nor a power steering. Next in line is the LX variant. It gets the air-conditioner and power steering that was lacking in the base variant. Additionally, it gets Engine Immobilizer, tubeless tyres and a collapsible steering column. The LXi variant is the top variant. It gets premium features such as coloured bumpers and chrome accentuated anterior grille in addition to the above features. The interiors are also beautified with door card fabrics, chrome accents for door handles, speedometer and so on. Additionally, it also gets a driver side airbag.
