Jeep launched Compass in the year 2017. The powerful SUV takes its architectural inspiration from the Grand Cherokee. It is built on the stretched version of the Small Wide 4x4 architecture. The Jeep Compass gets two engines options- a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine producing a torque of 250Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel motor producing a torque of 350Nm. Moreover, the same options are also available with a 4x4 variant, albeit with the diesel engine only. The SUV is claimed to deliver a mileage of 17.1kmpl with the diesel engine and 14.1kmpl with the petrol engine.

The Jeep Compass is packed with a wide range of features that include- an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and 18-inch wheels, among others. Also, it boasts safety features such as- ABS with EBD, traction control, dual front airbags, ESP and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard across all variants.

The Jeep Compass is available in four astonishing variants: Sport, Longitude, Limited and Limited Plus. The best-selling Jeep SUV will soon get a new top-spec variant called the Compass Trailhawk with mind-blowing features such as a low-range gearbox, thereby making it more suitable for hardcore off-roading. The Compass competes with the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, while it also goes up against the Mahindra XUV500.
