Jawa is a legendary two-wheeler brand. It has made its come back with the launch of two new bikes - Jawa and Jawa Forty Two. The Jawa Forty Two flaunts a premium Italian designing with sleek lines, graceful curves and surprisingly robust built. It is an entry-level bike that shares the mechanicals with the Jawa Standard. However, the Forty two has a few cosmetic differences. The bike gets a digital odometer, blacked-out bar-end mirrors, and a black handlebar.
The Jawa Forty Two flaunts a retro styling, and will surely turn heads wherever you go riding it. The iconic round headlight, double barrel exhaust, teardrop fuel tank, spoke wheels, and exposed chassis flaunt a retro design philosophy. On the other hand, the small rear fender and single seat give its appearance a contemporary touch.
Powered by a 293cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, the Jawa Forty Two produces a max power of 27HP and 28Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a constant mesh six-speed gearbox and runs on conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. For better braking performance, the bike is equipped with a 280mm disc brake at the front, and a 153mm drum at the rear. The bike has a single-channel ABS as standard. The bike's outstanding low-end torque helps in daily city stop and busy traffic. Moreover, the impressive power-to-weight ratio makes riding this bike comparatively more relaxed and comfortable.
The Forty Two is available in six colour options– Starlight Blue, Halleys Teal, Lumos Lime, Comet Red, Galactic Green, and Nebula Blue. This impressive motorcycle competes with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 range, the Thunderbird 350 and 350X, and the UM Motorcycle range.
