As the name suggests, Avenger 220 Cruise is a cruiser bike, which is yet available in a single variant in India. The bike was launched in July 2010 in India and starts at 1.16 lakh. Bajaj Auto, the manufacturer of this cruiser bike has updated the model to comply with the latest emission norms. The updated version of the bike has got a fuel-injected motor and a large cat-con to comply with the rules.
The company has launched the bike with BS6-complaint upgradation; however, it has not brought drastic changes to the model, and one can easily recognize it. The bike has now got a new instrument cluster which gives a refreshing touch to the bike. Bajaj has kept the basic design of the bike the same. Avenger Cruise 220 cc BS6 complaint engine produced the power of 19.03PS at 8500rpm and torque of 17.55Nm at 7000rpm. The upgradation slightly reflects in torque, which is up by 0.05Nm now. Suspension functions are managed and operated by twin shocks and telescopic forks at the rear and front end respectively. The braking system is operated through a 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 13-litres that gives a promising range for highway cruising. Its ground clearance is 169mm while the curb weight of the bike is 163Kg. The cruiser produces the mileage of 53 Kmpl and a top speed of 120 Kmph.
The single-cylinder engine of the cruise 220cc engine comes along with a 5-speed manual gearbox. And the anti-lock braking system of the bike complies with the front drum and rear drum disk brakes. The appearance and styling cues have not altered a bit and it remains to be a typical cruiser bike comprising front windscreen, rear-swept handlebar, low-slung saddle, along with a long wheelbase. The bike has got a 3D logo, wire-spoke wheels, and chrome treatment to different parts, which adds a superior touch to the overall unit. Avenger 220 Cruise is available in two color variations which are Moon Light and Auburn Black. The closest rival of this tremendous cruiser is Suzuki Intruder 150 BS6 which comes at Rs 1.20 Lakh with 150cc.
