Essential Apps for Your Dubai Trip

Hotel Booking

Finding the right place to stay in Dubai is easy with apps like Booking.com, Agoda and MakeMyTrip. From beachfront resorts in Jumeirah to hotels near the Burj Khalifa, these apps offer plenty of options with photos and great deals.

Navigation

Navigating Dubai is simple with apps like Google Maps and the official RTA Smart Drive app by the Roads and Transport Authority (available on Google Play and the App Store). The RTA Smart Drive app is especially useful if you do not have internet access as it works entirely offline, letting you search for locations and navigate Dubai without a mobile data connection.

Food Delivery

Apps like Careem and Deliveroo are widely used for ordering food in Dubai. Talabat (iOS and Android) is another popular option that not only delivers food but also lets you order groceries, medicines and daily essentials.

Transport

Uber (Android and iOS) is popular for booking private rides. For public transport, the nol Pay App (Google Play and App Store) is essential. It allows you to apply for and top up your Nol card, a smart card used to pay for buses, the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram, making your commute across the city seamless.

Sightseeing

Exploring Dubai's top attractions is easier with apps that guide you through the city's must-see spots. The Visit Dubai app (Google Play and App Store) is a great starting point as it helps you discover top attractions and book activities in Dubai.

For tours, apps like Headout: Travel Experiences (Android and iOS) offer curated experiences that can be booked with just a few taps.

Translation

Arabic is the official language in Dubai, but English is commonly spoken across hotels, malls and tourist spots. However, having a translation app can still be helpful when interacting with non-English speakers. Apps like Google Translate and the Talk and Translate Translator (available for both Android and iOS users) can make your trip more comfortable by offering instant translations.
