Kawasaki motorcycles are manufactured by the Motorcycle & Engine division of KHI. India Kawasaki Motors Private Limited (IKM) was established in May 2010 in Pune, Maharashtra, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Motorcycle & Engine, Japan Ltd.

In order to strengthen and promote the Kawasaki brand experience, Kawasaki ceased its alliance with Bajaj from April 1, 2017 and started the sales and after-sales service activities for Kawasaki motorcycles through its own dealer network in India.
