The Hero Hunk was a 150 cc sports motorcycle from Hero Motorcorp, launched in 2007. We say 'was' because the company no longer sells the Hunk in India. As the name suggests, the Hero Hunk has a muscular look and was targeted at a younger audience, who were drawn to its macho image. In fact, the bike is quite sturdy and can hold its own against more established bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar.
The Hero Hunk is available in two variants – self-start and kickstart. In 2011, post the split with Honda, Hero Motocorp gave the Hunk a minor upgrade, making it available in a rear disc brake option, in addition to the rear drum brake option already available. The Hero Hunk also ranks quite high in the specifications division. For instance, the Hero Hunk is powered by a powerful 150 cc single cylinder engine, with a five-speed gearbox, capable of delivering 14.4 bhp, which is quite something.
