How to Plan a Abroad Trip in Summer Vacations?

The summers will soon be upon us all and there’s absolutely no experience that comes closer to enjoying this season at a dream holiday destination. If you wish to make this a reality this summer, then hurry up and start planning. It may seem to be a daunting task but if done systematically, then it isn’t as bad as it seems. So, without much ado, let us get to the task at hand and start chalking out a quick list of to-dos to help you plan faster.

The Action Plan

The solution to almost every twisted problem lies in finding the answers to the 5Ws and 1H. Let’s see what they are:
  • Where: With so many places on your wish list, zeroing in on one location could be one of the toughest things to do. But, once you figure out where you want to go, you’ll be able to move quickly with the rest of your planning.
  • When: You need to finalize the duration of your trip and your travel dates.
  • Why: You already know why you are going where you are going, so we’ll leave that out of discussion and skip to the next part.
  • Who: It’s really important to know your company before you on go on a long trip as they may not enjoy the things you love and vice versa - and depending on whether you’re going to travel solo or with your loved ones, the next part of the planning will change.
  • What: You need to quickly look up what activities you would like to do during your stay, places you’d like to visit and so on. You can also pen down a rough itinerary if needed.
  • How: Now comes the tricky part that involves booking flight tickets and accommodation and calculating the overall travel expenses. The earlier this is done the better because you get a variety of deals to choose from and at reasonable rates.
Pack, Set, Go
After the planning is done, all you need to do is get started with the bag packing. The key to packing right is to have the just-about-right number of things in your bag. Remember, one of the most important things to pack for your vacation is your travel related documents such as passport, travel insurance, credit card, boarding pass and so on.

Spread the word
It’s not like you need to make a public announcement or something but now that you are all set to spend your vacation overseas, it would be a good idea to ensure that things are in order at home while you are away. For example, you can temporarily unsubscribe from your daily newspaper if you are taking a long vacation. You may also want to consider clearing out bill payments, asking someone to keep a check on your house once in a while, take care of your garden / pets, and so on.

Hope this quick guide helps you come up with the best vacation plan ever.
