WTD is celebrated on 27th September because the laws of UNWTO came into drive in the year 1970. In 2019, UNWTO has its focus on subjects like skills, education, and jobs. Therefore, the celebration of World Tourism Day will be on the topic 'Tourism and Jobs: a better future for all.'
