To reduce the number of road accidents, the government of India has taken several steps. One of the most popular and effective steps to reduce the number of road accidents was taken in late 2019. With the introduction of the Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Act, 2019, the government of India has brought many changes. They have revised the previous Motor Vehicle Act by changing a few traffic rules and doubling the price of fine. This act has also made
car insurance mandatory for car-owners. Bike-owners also have to
buy two wheeler insurance, if they want to ride their bike.
